Step- by-Step Tulip Careers Process
 
Here is the step-by-step process that you will follow from the time you register in our program until you start on your first consulting project.
 
1. Verify that you qualify for our program.
  Our 90% program is open to US-based IT professionals.
2. Register with Tulip Careers.
  If you qualify for our program, your first step is to register by going to our Register Now page and submitting your application.
3. Receive a dedicated career counselor.
  After you register, you will be assigned a dedicated career counselor who will give advice and support to help you optimize your career.
4. Find an opportunity.
 
The success of our program is in effectively partnering with each consultant to choose a suitable project. Your Tulip Careers career counselor will help you develop a systematic action plan using the most effective strategies and tactics for finding projects. Your action plan can incorporate many different job search strategies, and we will coach you on how to use each one. We will answer your questions, review your progress and help you refine your approach as you are waiting for your next assignment.
 
REMEMBER! Only you have 100% of your best interest at heart. You know what's best for you and the types of projects that fit your experience the best. You have outstanding technical skills. Let them speak for themselves.
 
We can accept projects with one middle party. There can only be one middle party in any transaction. Multiple layer deals will not be accepted. Contract-to-hire positions are also accepted.
5. Negotiate your bill rate.
 
With Tulip Careers, you have the advantage of negotiating the bill rate with the client and coming to an agreement on the start date and contract length.
  The minimum acceptable bill rate is $45/hr.
 
The minimum acceptable length for your first project is 6 months, though it is in your best interest to get projects that are longer term.
6. Establish a contract.
 
Once you have been confirmed for an assignment with the client, we will proceed with establishing a contract with the client.
7. Submit the required paperwork.
 
After being confirmed, Tulip Careers will enter into an employment agreement with you.
8. Get approval to start your new job.
 
Tulip Careers requires a minimum of 3 business days from confirmation until you start on a project. It is important that you do not report to work without first getting authorization from your Tulip Careers career counselor.
9. Get additional assistance from your HR counselor.
 
Upon starting your first project, you will be assigned to a Human Resources representative who will assist you with a variety of business and personal issues including benefits, payroll and travel arrangements.
10. Become an Tulip Careers employee.
  You officially become an employee of Tulip Careers when your contract has been confirmed and you are authorized by your Tulip Careers career counselor to start work on your first client project. Welcome to the team!
